The COBRA
First flexible dual-channel laser uretero-renoscope
Up to now, laser lithotripsy with a flexible uretero-renoscope was often a complicated and time-consuming form of therapy. At Richard Wolf, we looked into the problems involved and then took on the challenge. The result was well worth the effort. What emerged was an instrument that solves all the problems encountered by the user when fighting with flexible laser lithotripsy.
Eyemax Flexible LED Video Urethro-Cystoscope/ Nephroscope
Follow the radiant light! Follow success! The new Eyemax flexible LED video-urethro-cystoscope/nephroscope sets new unique standards with the image quality of this system.
The new LED technology has been combined with the already extremely successful flexible video cystoscope to produce an instrument that creates a bright and fully homogeneously illuminated endoscopic image. Compared with previous illumination systems, a tiny LED (light-emitting diode) that creates bundled light with a high light density now ensures an outstanding light quality. This has positive effects on your budget since you no longer require a light source or a light cable.
Further advantages:
- Long working life of the LED technology
- Relaxed working with the ergonomic handpiece
- Less fatigue due to the omission of the light cable and the associated reduction in weight
- Axial cable outlet allows greater freedom of movement
- To achieve fast and effective suction, the flexible LED video cystoscope has been equipped with a special suction valve
Instrument Set for GreenLight Laser Laser Resectoscopes
Laser Cystoscopes
Richard Wolf GmbH developed three application instruments at the same time specifically for the GreenLight laser and ideal for the individual operating technique of the surgeon. A GreenLight laser cystoscope and resectoscope and a universal laser cystoscope were developed specifically for the GreenLight fibre. Optimum irrigation conditions with 50 % inlet and 50 % outlet and laser guidance without vibration were achieved in each instrument allowing the retraction of the fibre into the sheath and preventing possible destruction of the telescope and sheath. Handling of the laser resectoscope is reminiscent of TURP and even allows the use of a resectoscope working element.
Instrument Set for GreenLight Laser Laser Resectoscopes Laser Cystoscopes
It is only possible to take advantage of this laser technology and to optimise surgical results by using optimised application instruments. Photoselective vaporisation with the GreenLight laser is a new and promising operative technique for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia. Above all, Dr. Schiefelbein stressed the excellent intraoperative safety even for patients taking anticoagulants. This laser technique for direct ablation of tissue achieves functional results comparable with the gold standard TURP. The new 120 watt HPS laser reduces treatment time and can improve the efficiency of the therapy.
MEGA Pulse Stone Laser
Desktop stone laser for laser lithotripsy of all urinary stones in the entire urinary tract
The new Richard Wolf MegaPulse stone laser was developed as a desktop stone laser for laser lithotripsy of all urinary stones in the entire urinary tract. This small desktop device finds plenty of room on the video trolley or on a small side table. Its intuitive control concept and illuminated touch screen in conjunction with large menu buttons make it easy and safe to operate even in a darkened OR.
The outstanding features of the MegaPulse:
- Holmium YAG laser for efficient stone therapy
- Elimination of strictures
- Vaporisation of tumours
- Advantages maximised in combination with flexible instruments
- Simple handling
- Automatic fibre detection
- Minimally invasive
- System for video trolley and ceiling lamp
- CAN BUS
The MegaPulse stone laser from Richard Wolf is highly compatible in terms of the laser system and instrument set. You can put together special combinations for the various applications:
- Basic set for kidney stones with flexible URS
- Basic set for kidney stones with nephroscopes
- Basic set for ureter stones with semirigid URS
- Basic set for bladder stone with flexible video cystoscopes and with the percutaneous nephroscope "Dresden" model
These sets can, of course, be expanded so that a suitable set is available for every task.
LithoClast 2
The method of the LithoClast® 2 from Richard Wolf generates energy without heat – risk of thermal damage in the urinary tract can be excluded, the tissue remains unchanged.
The effectiveness of the LithoClast® method results from the short treatment time regardless of the composition of the stone and its extremely flexible use throughout the entire urinary tract. And not least; it is the quality of all the device components and their user friendliness along with ease of maintenance that round off this unique success.
Ultra Thin Uretero-Renoscope 8701533
In response to increased customer requests and due to the rapid developments in laser lithotripsy, R. Wolf, the manufacturer with the widest range of uretero-renoscopes, decided to develop a new ultra thin uretero-renoscope. This ultra thin uretero-renoscope is taking its place not only in paediatric urology but also in stone therapy in adults.
Examples of its multipurpose application include:
- Stone therapy with laser fibres
- Stone therapy with LithoClast® probes
- Stone therapy with stone baskets
- Therapy in infants, children and adolescents
PDD System with Combilight and Digital Camera
Photodynamic diagnosis PDD has become a genuine alternative in the early detection of bladder carcinoma. The new Richard Wolf instrument set for PDD makes photodynamic diagnosis an attractive and efficient application.
It allows differentiated and high-contrast visualisation of the tissue and unrestricted resection in real time in blue light mode without compromising the picture. The new high-performance light source guarantees the maximum light intensity and the highly sensitive camera head allows natural pictures in white light or blue-violet mode. The extreme light intensity of this system exceeds that necessary to induce fluorescence and therefore increases the significance of the findings achieved with the method.
The Richard Wolf PDD system can be used with all standard cystoscopes and resectoscopes.
